E coli and coliform presence is an indicator of water being contaminated with wild or farmed animal feces, and can pose serious health risks. The World Health Organization recommends that drinking and recreational water contain less than 1 CFU/ml of E coli and coliform bacteria.

How is AquaVial E. coli and coliform different?
AquaVial E. coli and coliform test kit takes advantage of the most recent advances in biotechnology research to detect the presence of coliform bacteria. DEtection is indicated simply by means of a colour change in the sample. The nutrients used in our formulation are specifically designed to enhance the sensitivity to fecal coliform bacteria. This formulation reduces the risk of false positive results.
The color change is produced by a dye that changes its color from yellow to purple in the presence of an enzyme (glucosidase). This enzyme is produced by all coliform bacteria.
Compared with other tests on the market, our test has a simpler testing method. Just add 5 ml of water to the vial provided and wait. The results can be read within 24 hours at 35 - 40 degrees Celsius (95-105F) or within 48 hours at room temperature, 20-25C or (68-77F).

Not happy
Test product I received was already past expiration date.1 vial had no testing media in it.was a waste of money and time.couldnt go below 1 star rating or I would have.save ur money and just flip a coin to see if ur water is safe.
Detected Coliform Bacteria in my tap water.
Tap water at my new rental smelled terrible. After some research, I found out that there were a few potential causes — some harmless and some not. This prevented my family from making the mistake of using that water until the problem was resolved and allowed me to have evidence for the local authorities and management company. I was able to test again later to confirm the problem was resolved.
Home use for Well test
Loved the ease of the product! Only concern was the amount of product in each vial.. it's different for each, so i wonder if they all would show the same results. Used for home well system. Haven't tried direct from the well yet that's next, did kitchen sink first. Based on temperature let it sit for 48hrs. Color chart included is great for ease of reading results! Happily mine were 00.00
